Candle Digital wins 2019 Business Advantage Award

In March, Candle Digital directors Mark Langdale and Andy Jack received a Business Advantage Award from Leeds Beckett University.

The Business Advantage Awards is an annual competition delivered in partnership with Leeds law firm Lupton Fawcett, accountants WGN and Yorkshire Bank which provides advice and support to early stage businesses who are looking to grow.

As part of the competition, Candle Digital presented to representatives of each of the award supporters and outlined progress so far and plans for the future, and were one of the five winners.

As part of the prize Candle Digital will receive:

• Up to 50 hours of legal support and mentoring, valued at over £5000, from a solicitor with expertise in fields such as Intellectual Property, employment law, taxation and premises legal support.
• £1000 of accountancy support will be provided by WGN.
• 36 months free business banking from Yorkshire Bank.

Candle Digital director Andy Jack said “We’re proud as punch to have received this award. The past 12 months have been a period of significant growth for us, and the support we will receive will give us a firmer footing as we look to further our success.

“We joined the University Business Centre in Halifax to meet other like-minded businesses and also tap into the unique support that the environment provides. This is just another sign that we made the right decision.”
